GraFeeti Support
Questions, problems, or feedback — here's how to get help.
How GraFeeti works
GraFeeti is a GPS running game played across Massachusetts. Pins sit on runnable streets throughout all 14 counties, and the whole set is regenerated at the start of every month.
- Start a run, and your route is tracked while you go.
- Pass within about 75 metres (250 feet) of a pin and you've hit it.
- After the run, you spread your street cred across the pins you reached.
- Holding the most cred on a pin wins you its wall, and points toward the monthly leaderboard.
Common questions
The map is empty
GraFeeti only has pins in Massachusetts. Outside the state you'll see the map but no pins. It's a Massachusetts-only game by design, not a bug.
My run didn't track, or the distance looks short
Background location must be set to Always for a run to keep recording with the screen off or the phone in a pocket. Check Settings → GraFeeti → Location. Low Power Mode can also throttle GPS updates.
A pin didn't register when I ran past it
You have to come within roughly 75 metres, and GPS in dense downtown areas can drift further than that. Running closer to the pin, or passing it a second time, usually does it.
My street cred went down without me doing anything
Cred decays 2% per day on a pin once seven days have passed since your last visit there. Visiting the pin again resets it. Pins you reached on an Explorer run — two or more hexes from where you started — never decay.
I can't sign in
Use Forgot password on the login screen. If you have an older account and it asks for your email address, that's the one-time step that moves your account to secure sign-in; enter your address and you'll keep the same password.
My Apple Watch isn't connecting
Check the watch app is installed and the watch is paired and nearby. There's an Apple Watch Status button in your profile that reports exactly which part of the connection is failing.
My runs aren't showing in Apple Health
GraFeeti needs permission to write to Health. Check Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → GraFeeti, and make sure writing is allowed. GraFeeti only writes to Health; it never reads anything from it.
Deleting your account
Tap your username to open your profile, scroll to Account, and choose Delete account. You'll be asked to type your username to confirm. It's immediate and cannot be undone. See the privacy policy for exactly what is removed.
Privacy
What GraFeeti collects and why is set out in full in the privacy policy. The short version: location is used to score your runs and nothing else, your data is never sold, and there is no advertising or analytics in the app.
Reporting a problem with someone's tag
Tags are user-drawn. If you see one that's offensive, report it from the wall it appears on, or email the address above and it will be dealt with.
